How are wood panels installed?
Step 1: Prepare the Room
- Clear the Space: Remove furniture and decor from the area where you will be working.
- Protect Flooring: Lay down drop cloths or plastic sheeting to protect your floors from dust and debris.
Step 2: Prepare the Walls
- Clean Walls: Ensure the walls are clean, dry, and smooth. Fill any holes or cracks.
- Find Studs: Use a stud finder to locate and mark the studs in the wall. This is crucial for securing the panels firmly.
Step 3: Apply Adhesive
- Spread Adhesive: Apply a strong adhesive to the back of the first panel. Be generous but avoid applying too much that it oozes out when pressed against the wall.
Step 4: Install Panels
- First Panel: Align the first panel at your starting corner or edge. Use a level to make sure it is perfectly vertical or horizontal, depending on your layout.
- Secure the Panel: Nail the panel into place at the studs, starting from the top and working your way down. Continue this process until all panels are installed.
